Amazon allows customers to return items easily, for any reason. Our main warehouse (a fulfillment company that partners with us) is currently too busy and does not have enough time to inspect returned items carefully.

Therefore, we are looking for a few people who are living in the U.S. to support us part-time from home.

* JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Receive returned packages from customers delivered to your home address (based on our records, on average there are about 0–5 returned boxes per month)
  • Open the box and check the item’s condition: take photos and record short videos, especially of any defects, scratches, missing parts, etc.(once you get used to it, this usually takes less than 10 minutes)
  • Report the condition to us by sending photos and videos.
  • Temporarily store items at your home (box dimensions: 7.87 x 7.87 x 61.81 inches/20 cm x 20 cm x 157 cm. Gross weight: 34.17 lbs (15.5kgs). We will find ways to resell products that are in good condition or at least 70% like-new.
  • If a customer receives a defective item and needs replacement parts, you will take usable parts from returned items, pack them carefully, and ship the replacement parts to the customer.

* INCOME

  • This is a simple, work-from-home side job, so the pay is not high.
  • Around $120–$250/month, depending on how many returns you actually receive and process (40 USD/month standby fee. 15 USD per returned box checked. 18 USD per outbound shipment. Packing materials reimbursed separately)
  • The workload is light (we usually have only 0–5 returned orders per month), suitable for anyone who wants extra income

* REQUIREMENTS

  • You are currently living in the U.S. and plan to stay at your address long-term (not moving soon). We need a partner with a stable address.
  • You have space to receive and temporarily store a few dozen boxes (each box is approx. 20 cm x 20 cm x 157 cm).
  • Careful, responsible, and detail-oriented.
  • Most importantly: you have enough free time to handle tasks quickly and properly. We often need items inspected immediately so we can refund customers on time. When there is a defect, customers also expect replacement parts as soon as possible. If you are too busy with your main job, this role may not be suitable.
  • Be able to print shipping labels and attach them to outgoing boxes (having a printer at home is a big plus). Labels must be applied carefully and secured firmly so they don’t peel off during transit (otherwise the package may be lost)
  • Able to use a phone to take good photos, record good videos. Then send us high quality photos/videos.
  • The work is not difficult, but it requires time. If you have children in middle/high school age who want some pocket money (earned through their own effort) and you want to teach them responsibility and the value of work, they can also apply to do this job.
